Dan & Jenny Wedding Proposal | Harvard University Cambridge, MA

Dan contacted me about proposing to his girlfriend of 7 years, Jenny. They met while attending Harvard University, and he thought it was the perfect spot for the location for the proposal. Dan chose the Widener Library, which is the centerpiece of the college. Dan proposed to Jenny right on the steps of Widener Library. It was a frigid day, about 15 degrees Fahrenheit, and it had snowed two days before, but that didn’t stop this couple from having a great time during their session! The snow only added to the beautiful backdrop of Harvard Yard and made this winter wedding proposal that much more special.

Dan asked for the session to occur in the morning to avoid busier times in the city, which ultimately worked in our favor. The campus was quiet, not many people around, and it helped not to have people in the background of the photos and to make this intimate event more special.

After Dan proposed to Jenny on the steps of Widener Library, we walked around the Harvard University campus to take some engagement photos. I love the Harvard campus, the brick buildings, and the layout; it all adds a rustic, very Boston charm to the photos. I’ve taken photos in Harvard Yard in the warmer months, so seeing it in the winter was nice. While I’m not a massive fan of the cold, I love snow for photos and will bravely weather for a photo session!

Below are some of my personal favorite photos from Dan and Jenny’s wedding proposal photo session. As a Boston proposal photographer, I adore capturing this special moment for every couple I meet. Best wishes to Dan and Jenny!
